Job summary

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical is seeking a Commercial Electrician to assist in electrical project installations in Charlottesville and surrounding areas. You will perform conduit cutting, bending, threading, and install EMT, read blueprints, and help connect panels and fixtures from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational training preferred, and a strong safety mindset. Will train apprentices and expect teamwork and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in install of electrical projects from start to finish.
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of EMT conduit.
• Read blueprints and submittals; assist in wiring and terminating panels and devices.
• Mentor apprentices and train helpers.
• Must have valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

The Role

The Commercial Electrician is responsible for assisting in the install of your assigned electrical project.

What You'll Do

• Thorough knowledge in the electrical trade
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of EMT conduit of all sizes
• Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices
• Experience seeing installs from start to finish
• Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
