Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking an Electrical Mechanic for commercial and industrial environments in Blacksburg and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes safety and quality service from start to finish.

You will install conduits, read blueprints, wire diagrams, and hookup/terminate panels while mentoring helpers and apprentices. A strong knowledge of the electrical trade and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical trade knowledge required.
• Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experience seeing electrical system installs from start to finish.
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of conduit of various sizes.
• Bend offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Read and interpret blueprints, coordinated drawings, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Hook up/terminate electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices.
• Understanding of PLCs, controls, and industrial manufacturing a plus.
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices.

The Role:

The Electrical Mechanic is responsible for ensuring quality service and installation for our commercial and/or industrial customers and doing so by always promoting safety.

What You'll Do:

• Experience seeing electrical system installs from start to finish

• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
