Job summary

CBRE in Houston, TX is hiring an HVAC Engineer to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems. You will conduct proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

You will support the Engineering and Technical Services function, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and system troubleshooting while mentoring teammates and upholding CBRE's standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of job-related experience; prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Must be able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain HVAC control systems and related instruments.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on building HVAC equipment for safe operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best modification approaches.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across multiple job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and support CBRE RISE values in team consensus building.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information to stakeholders.
