Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Engineer to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems.

You will conduct proactive testing, ongoing maintenance, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety standards. This role is part of CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services team, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and reliable operation of building systems across client facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4–5 years related work experience considered with education.
• Ability to read and interpret building systems schematics and controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members; ensure timely completion.
• Install, calibrate, service and maintain HVAC control systems and related instruments.
• Inspect HVAC equipment for proper operation and code compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best modification approach.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines.
