Job summary

All Surfaces is seeking a Commercial Business Development - Specifications Manager to expand our floor coverings book with architects, designers, and contractors across Kansas, Missouri, Western IA and Eastern Nebraska.

You will lead daily sales calls, generate new leads, and drive specifications while maintaining current accounts and relationships. The role requires travel and active industry involvement.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree; four-year degree preferred.
• 3+ years in flooring industry; solid surface a plus.
• 4+ years in B2B sales, marketing, architecture, or interior design.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suites, Salesforce or other CRM.
• Ability to travel 50-80% of time (Chicago training, tradeshows, events).
• Must lift up to 50 lbs for samples.
• Must pass MVR screen per company requirements.

Responsibilities

• 70-75% of time in customer-facing sales activities.
• Conduct calls with architects, designers, flooring contractors, end users, and contractors to select products.
• Travel daily within assigned area to call on customers and prospect new business.
• Manage projects from inception to completion including order placement and delivery coordination.
• Follow up on leads from manufacturers, sales managers, and networking groups.
• Build relationships with existing and new customers through lunches, events, and meetings.
• Act as subject matter expert for 6 product lines in the region.
• Proficiently market on LinkedIn and support team selling.
