Job summary

National Oilwell Varco is seeking an experienced escrow professional to manage and control the closing process for complex commercial real estate transactions. You will prepare closing documents, coordinate with title officers and underwriters, and ensure accuracy of settlement statements.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to make independent decisions, and excellent customer-facing skills to support counsel, buyers, sellers, and lenders.

Qualifications

• 3 years escrow experience preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with title and escrow duties.
• Experience with practices, procedures, and concepts within the title insurance industry.
• Ability to quickly assess situations and make decisions.
• Strong multi-tasking, organizational, analytical, and information distribution skills.
• Attention to detail and task-driven professionalism.
• Ability to spot and address irregularities or issues.
• Detail-oriented and professional.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the closing process for complex single-site and multi-site commercial real estate transactions.
• Prepare closing documents and settlement statements.
• Read and carefully review complicated instructions and agreements related to closings.
• Prioritize tasks and make independent decisions.
• Coordinate with title officers and underwriting to solve issues.
• Open escrows and collect required instructions, documents, and funds for closing.
• Manage workflow and provide customer support to counsel, buyers, sellers, borrowers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers and lenders.
• Communicate effectively with customers and build relationships.
• Adhere to company policy and procedures.
• Gather and confirm the accuracy of closing documents.
• Collect all documents necessary to clear title.
• Remain neutral at all times.
