Job description

**Job Description Summary**

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices towards building a culture of continuous improvement. Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing business performance, reducing employee burden, and delivering outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation to achieve significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with leaders in business management roles.

This role will support the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional and operational business process lean initiatives, with foundational knowledge of lean principles, approaches, and methodologies.

**Job Description**

**_Essential Responsibilities_**

  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and teams.
  2. Lead kaizen and improvement projects with the goal of achieving operational targets using KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  3. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including Subject Matter Experts, Support Staff, and Leadership, to foster a Lean Culture and drive Continuous Improvement.
  4. Communicate solutions within functions and across cross-functional partner organizations.
  5. Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus; utilize persuasion skills to influence others.
  6. Coach leaders to deploy Value Stream Management and establish Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices to improve business and customer outcomes.

**Minimum Qualifications/Requirements**

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Relocation offered only to candidates willing to relocate to Evendale, OH.

**Desired Characteristics and Experience**

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools, preferably in transactional environments.
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying lean methods.
  • Bias for action with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: analytical, challenge existing processes, critical thinking.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance and measure improvement effectiveness.
  • Humility: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
  • Transparency: shares information openly, speaks candidly, contributes constructively.
  • Focus: quick learner, strategic prioritization, committed.
  • Leadership: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborator.
