Job description

Job Description Summary

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices towards building a culture of continuous improvement. Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing business performance, reducing employee burden, and delivering outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation to achieve significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with leaders in business management roles.

This role will support the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional and operational business process lean initiatives, with foundational knowledge of principles, approaches, and lean methodology.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and teams.
  2. Lead kaizen and improvement projects to meet operating goals using KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  3. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including Subject Matter Experts, Support Staff, and Leadership, to promote Lean Culture and Continuous Improvement.
  4. Communicate solutions within functions and across cross-functional partner organizations.
  5. Explain difficult or sensitive information, build consensus, and use persuasion skills to influence others.
  6. Coach organizational leaders in deploying Value Stream Management and implementing Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices to improve business and customer outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Relocation offered only to candidates willing to relocate to Evendale, OH.
Desired Characteristics and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools, preferably in a transactional environment.
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying lean methods.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Analytical problem solver, challenge existing processes, critical thinker.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics and measure improvement initiatives.
  • Humble, respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
  • Transparent, shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
  • Focused, quick learner, strategic prioritization, committed.
  • Leadership qualities: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborator.
