Job description

Job Description Summary

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices towards building a culture of continuous improvement. Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing business performance, reducing employee burden, and delivering outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation to achieve significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with leaders in business management roles.

This role will support the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have transactional and operational business process lean experience, foundational knowledge of lean principles, approaches, and methodologies.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and teams. Lead kaizen and improvement projects to meet operating goals using KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  2. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including Subject Matter Experts, Support Staff, and Leadership, to foster a Lean Culture and drive Continuous Improvement.
  3. Communicate solutions within functions and across cross-functional partner organizations.
  4. Explain difficult or sensitive information, work to build consensus, and use persuasion skills to influence others.
  5. Coach organizational leaders to deploy Value Stream Management and establish Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices to improve business and customer outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Willingness to relocate to Evendale, OH, as relocation is offered only to candidates willing to move to our headquarters.
Desired Characteristics and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools, preferably in a transactional environment.
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying lean methods.
  • Strong bias for action, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Analytical problem solver, critical thinker, and challenger of existing processes.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics and measure improvement initiatives.
  • Humble, respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
  • Transparent in communication, shares critical information, speaks with candor, and contributes constructively.
  • Focused, quick learner, strategic prioritizer, and committed.
  • Strong leadership qualities: effective communicator, decision-maker, and collaborator.
