Job description

Job Description Summary

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices to build a culture of continuous improvement. Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing business performance, reducing employee burden, and delivering outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation to achieve significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with business management leaders.

This role supports the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have transactional and operational process lean experience, with foundational knowledge of lean principles, approaches, and methodology.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and related teams.
  2. Lead kaizen and improvement projects to meet operational goals, utilizing KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  3. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including SMEs, support staff, and leadership, to promote Lean Culture and Continuous Improvement.
  4. Communicate solutions within functions and cross-functional teams.
  5. Explain complex or sensitive information, build consensus, and use persuasion to influence others.
  6. Coach leaders on deploying Value Stream Management, Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen to improve business and customer outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Willingness to relocate to Evendale, OH, as relocation is offered only to candidates willing to move to our headquarters
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools, preferably in transactional settings
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, and applying lean methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to challenge processes
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring tools
  • Personal characteristics: humble, transparent, focused, with leadership capabilities in communication, decision-making, and collaboration
