Job description

Job Description Summary

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices towards building a culture of continuous improvement. Lead process improvement projects with the goal of enhancing business performance, reducing employee burden, and delivering outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation to achieve significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with leaders in business management roles.

This role will support the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have transactional and operational business process lean experience and foundational knowledge of lean principles, approaches, and methodologies.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and teams.
  2. Lead kaizen events and improvement projects aimed at achieving operational goals using KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  3. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including subject matter experts, support staff, and leadership, to foster a lean culture and continuous improvement.
  4. Communicate solutions effectively within functions and cross-functional partner organizations.
  5. Explain complex or sensitive information clearly; build consensus and influence others through persuasion.
  6. Coach organizational leaders on deploying Value Stream Management and implementing Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices to improve business and customer outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Willingness to relocate to Evendale, OH, if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with Lean transformation, principles, and tools, preferably in a transactional environment.
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, and applying lean methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to challenge processes.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring tools.
  • Characteristics: humble, transparent, focused, with leadership abilities in communication, decision-making, and collaboration.
