Job summary

Colonial Savings is seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze credit data and assist with annual reviews for commercial customers. You will perform independent analysis, assess risk, and make recommendations on loan structures, serving as a resource to lenders on credit/industry analysis and underwriting standards.

You will spread financial statements, review tax returns, participate in initial and final credit structuring, and interact with Relationship Managers to gather information and discuss

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ hours in Accounting, Finance or equivalent graduate level Accounting coursework.
• Prefer 2+ years credit analyst/loan review experience.
• Advanced analytical knowledge with strong ability to interpret analytics and make deductions.
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and assess credit risk for commercial customers.
• Review and analyze tax returns.
• Perform independent risk assessments for prospective and existing relationships.
• Provide loan pricing analysis and recommend loan structures to Relationship Managers.
• Assist in structuring credits and developing new credit business with clients.
• Evaluate credit risk via annual reviews of the commercial loan portfolio.
• Identify problem loans early to minimize losses.
• Assign risk grades and discuss repayment capacity with Relationship Managers.
