Job summary

Commerce Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze commercial credits by performing extensive financial analysis on companies across industries. You will prepare Credit Approval Summary packets for loan committees and assist with financial statement spreading.

Work with seasoned bankers and portfolio managers in the East Region, learning loan structuring and cash flow assessment. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with Moody’s CreditLens and MS Excel are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 1+ year credit/financial analyst experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and key metrics (cashflow, leverage).

Responsibilities

• Prepare Credit Approval Summary packets (manual and Moody’s CreditLens).
• Prepare financial statement spreads and other credit-related items.
• Perform basic to moderate financial analysis on diverse industries for loan requests.
• Research loan documentation and understand bank systems.
• Submit work for feedback and analysis.
• Share beginner-level knowledge during training and onboarding.
• Assist with loan committee secretary tasks and related activities.
