Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support two or more commercial construction projects from our Richmond, VA office.

You will work with PMs and PMA’s to ensure teams have the right information and resources to succeed. Responsibilities include maintaining project tracking, creating schedules, coordinating with architects, engineers and subcontractors, and helping with change orders and close-out documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field and 2+ years of experience in a commercial construction environment.
• Strong scheduling and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization.
• Creates and maintains internal project schedules.
• Prepares complete, accurate and timely submittals based on drawings, specs, and vendor information.
• Coordinates with architect/engineer and project team for submittals and changes.
• Assists PM/PEs with change orders and required back-up documents.
• Updates contract documents to subcontractors and vendors.
• Schedules all required construction meetings with the team, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
