Job Summary

O'Donnell/Snider Construction is seeking Project Engineers to assist Project Managers with activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial setup and updates, and scheduling. The goal is to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, profitably, and to client specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with project safety and safety data management as required
• Thoroughly understand project drawings and specifications
• Support job start-up and subcontractor kick-off meetings
• Assist Project Manager with estimates, bidding, and change requests
• Understand owner contract requirements
• Verify insurance coverage for subcontractors and vendors
• Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders
• Distribute drawings and manage project documentation such as RFIs and ASIs
• File legal project documents and initiate permits
• Maintain and update project schedules in collaboration with the Superintendent
• Review and process submittals and shop drawings, maintaining logs
• Track and execute change orders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or actively pursuing one
• Zero to two years of experience in the construction industry, preferably commercial
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
