Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will perform Field Engineering management, including field inspections, construction and commissioning management, FAT at vendor workshops, development of ITPs, contractor walkthroughs, bid reviews, and selection. The role involves leading site construction and commissioning teams to complete site activities aligned with project goals, safety standards, and specifications. Success is measured through safety performance, project cost, schedule adherence, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the on-site point of contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Overseeing safety compliance, including site orientation, work permits, safety meetings, audits, and events.
  • Verifying receipt and inspection of materials and equipment, managing non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Managing project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Managing external/internal suppliers and ensuring scope coverage, expediting deliveries.
  • Maintaining communication logs with external partners.
  • Developing and managing construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  • Responding promptly to RFIs, managing project execution plans, and maintaining communication plans.
  • Supporting contract administration and managing change logs.
  • Closing action items promptly and maintaining project knowledge to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
  • Influencing construction and commissioning strategies during project development.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects (a plus)
  • Industrial gas experience (a plus)
