Job Description

The Project Engineer serves as a technical resource for Project Services and Sales. Responsibilities include managing the technical evaluation stage of the pre-bid process, supporting project delivery teams, and building relationships with subject matter experts. Location is flexible, with preference for proximity to major Copeland sites, but remote work is possible.

As a Project Engineer, You Will:

1. Collaborate with Sales to understand and quantify customer requirements, including participating in pre-sales meetings.
2. Respond to RFI/RFP technical and functional requests.
3. Determine project specifications by analyzing product design, customer needs, and performance standards.
4. Provide technical support during pilot implementations and evaluations; assist in training field resources.
5. Develop and maintain project documentation, such as survey forms, drawings, and commissioning forms.
6. Coordinate with Field Services and contractors on project implementation and improvements, incorporating field feedback.
7. Address technical questions from clients and support sales strategies with product and service knowledge.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC-R related experience, including internships or Co-ops.
• Knowledge in at least two of the following: controls, energy management systems, refrigeration, mechanical/electrical energy systems, or energy projects in new/build retrofit applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, Acrobat.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not provided).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in HVACR industry or retail/commercial store construction training.
• Supporting sales opportunities experience.
• Knowledge of Bill of Material (BOM) structures.
