CBRE - Government & Defense seeks a Commercial Cleaner to perform basic cleaning duties in a high-traffic building. The role includes mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and ensuring overall cleanliness in assigned areas.

Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. The position requires a high school diploma and at least two years in facilities or custodial work, with no mandatory certifications. Benefits are described as competitive.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support in high-traffic areas.

• Sweep, vacuum, mop storage areas, hallways, restrooms, elevators.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment; reposition furniture as needed.
• Clean windows and glass partitions with appropriate tools.
• Maintain safe storage of cleaning supplies.
• Follow standardized cleaning processes to company standards.
• Adhere to procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
• Work within established routines and standards; use procedures to solve simple problems.

Job description

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you willbe responsible forbasic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You willbe responsible forensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Primary Job Functions

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the buildingdesignatedby the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure areaat all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

What you'll need:

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred

License/Certification

• Preferred: No specific certifications required
• Any relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus

Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
