Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a GDS Commercial Cleaner in Cedar Rapids, IA to perform basic cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm. You will maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and follow company standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently or as part of a team. Competitive benefits available.

Job description

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you willbe responsible forbasic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You willbe responsible forensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Primary Job Functions

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the buildingdesignatedby the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure areaat all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

Education, Experience and Certification

• REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent
• REQUIRED: 2 years of job-related experience

• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)and moving furniture.
• Ability to follow basic work routines.
