Job Description

As a Commercial Casualty Claims Adjuster, you will serve as a real partner to our members by processing claims accurately and efficiently so they can resume their life's work without unnecessary delay. Responsibilities:

1. Investigates coverage and cause of loss on routine to more complicated claims, including policy review, interviewing all parties, and gathering investigative documentation.
2. Handles various injury and property damage claims, investigating and evaluating exposures, and triaging large losses.
3. Provides accurate assessments, negotiates fair resolutions, and manages costs within authority limits.
4. Prepares written communication such as settlement letters, disclaimers, and reservation of rights letters.
5. Maintains claim file documentation and monitors diaries for timely processing.
6. Recognizes recovery opportunities and prepares submissions to SIU when needed.
7. Supervises field examiners and vendors, including adjusters and experts.
8. Assumes additional duties as needed.

Skills & Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years handling Commercial Liability Claims.
• Property and casualty or Adjuster license (willing to become licensed within 30 days if not licensed).
• Experience in litigation handling.
• Understanding of coverage, policy interpretation, and liability concepts.
• Ability to work independently in a home-based environment.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPCU or SCLA certification preferred.
• Ability to support loss evaluations and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from $59,400 to $99,000, with additional bonuses, depending on experience and location. Benefits include a 401(k) match, insurance plans, wellness incentives, paid time off, flexible work arrangements, and educational assistance.
