Job summary

Avison Young is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, work orders, and inspections at a Massachusetts location. The role is client‑facing, with on‑site responsibilities and a base pay of $30.00–$34.00 per hour plus potential bonuses.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in commercial building maintenance and own hand tools. Responsibilities include operating BMS, basic repairs, and coordinating with the Property Management Team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Massachusetts driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and other control systems.
• Perform light building repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, tile).
• Inspect mechanical rooms, offices, and kitchens daily.
• Assist with vendor coordination and on-site supervision of contractors.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation and follow‑up on open issues.
• Be on call on a rotating schedule for night/weekend coverage.
