Job summary

Anthropic in the United States is seeking a Manager of Commercial Applied AI Architects to drive frontier AI adoption across mid-market and SMB clients. You will lead a team of technical architects, craft blueprints, demos, tooling, and enablement, and co-own the strategy for Applied AI in the Commercial segment.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in technical customer-facing roles with three+ years in pre-sales or technical go-to-market team management.
• Ability to hire, coach, give direct feedback, and scale a high-performing team.
• Experience leading technical teams in fast-moving sales motions with strong talent allocation.
• Builder credibility with experience in LLM-powered applications and production systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with agentic architectures, LLM evaluation, and AI developer tooling.
• Systems thinker with ability to create reusable playbooks and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and grow a team of Commercial Applied AI Architects with high technical credibility and customer impact.
• Own hiring for the team, define profiles, run the interview loop, and onboard quickly.
• Set goals, run reviews, and provide career development feedback to each architect.
• Decide depth of focus and prioritize Applied AI engagement across a large book.
• Work alongside architects on engagements from discovery to deployment and expansion.
• Build segment playbooks for Claude API integrations, Claude Code rollouts, and Enterprise deployments.
• Partner with Commercial sales leadership to co-build segment strategy and drive adoption.
• Ensure feedback from mid-market signals informs Product and Engineering.
• Represent Anthropic technically at customer sites and events; contribute to thought leadership.
• Stay ahead of AI engineering trends and keep the team operating at the frontier.
