Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Startups Applied AI Architects to lead a team that helps startups adopt frontier AI via the Claude Developer Platform. You will build technical partnerships, own engagement playbooks, and guide top accounts from early discovery through deployment to scale.

You will recruit and coach a high-performing team, earning trust of founders and engineers, while shaping segment strategy with sales leadership and delivering value to customers in a fast-moving,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or similar).
• 5+ years leading and managing pre-sales or technical go-to-market teams.
• Experience working with startups or high-growth tech companies; understand startup velocity and constraints.
• Genuine builder credibility: built/deployed LLM-powered apps and speak founder language.
• Hands-on with context engineering, LLM eval frameworks, and modern AI architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of Startups Applied AI Architects, setting high technical credibility and startup-paced execution.
• Drive team performance through clear goals, coaching, and continuous technical development.
• Lead pre-sales engagements with high-priority startup accounts from discovery to deployment and expansion.
• Build and own technical playbooks: run evaluations, develop eval frameworks, architect LLM solutions for early-stage teams.
• Partner with Account Executives and GTM leadership to shape segment strategy and drive Claude API adoption.
• Surface insights on how startups build with Claude and translate signals into feedback for Product/Engineering.
• Drive cross-functional influence across Sales, Product, and Engineering to meet startup needs and shape roadmap priorities.
• Build Anthropic's technical presence in the startup ecosystem through events, conferences, and content.
