Job summary

Henkel's Adhesive Technologies unit seeks a technically driven professional to lead market initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and advance new applications using adhesives, coatings, and functional inks. The role emphasizes collaboration across Sales, KAM, BD, Product Development, Operations, and Lab Teams to deliver innovative solutions in North America.

You will own North American projects, maintain lab equipment, ensure safety, and train AE staff, with travel up to 50% domestically.

Qualifications

• Technical Masters degree: Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred.
• Up to 50% travel, primarily domestically (US/Canada).
• Printing / coating experience preferred.
• Experience with adhesives, functional inks, and functional coatings preferred.
• Experience in supporting the Aerospace sector, specifically defense would be preferred.
• Experience with antennas, frequency selection, EMI and other shielding applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to implement technical strategy at customers.
• Manage product launches, complaint management, and new application development with Sales, KAM, BD, Product Development, Operations, Lab Technician, etc.
• Lead technically driven PD and innovation projects for portfolio gaps with KPI applications and markets.
• Develop technical capability standards and methods for markets and applications new to Henkel.
• Own North American sourced projects and coordinate global development and commercialization.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and enforce safety protocols; train and operate PE lab equipment.
• Provide direct Application Engineering support to drive growth.
• Identify unmet needs at Key Accounts and regional/inside Sales accounts with Sales.
• Support AE opportunities from website inquiries and cold calls with technical support.
• Participate in pipeline reviews to ensure timely AE workstreams for key initiatives: Smart Surfaces, Smart Healthcare, Antenna, Energy Storage.
