Job description

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates East of the Mississippi River, near a major airport)

Package: Up to $125K base + double OTE ($250K total), with accelerators up to 1.5x for overachievement

Travel: Up to 50% across the U.S. and Canada

The Role

As a Commercial Account Manager, your primary focus will be driving revenue growth within the existing customer base. This is a commercially-focused role that works alongside the Customer Success Management (CSM) team to uncover and execute cross-sell, up-sell, and strategic group expansion opportunities. You will manage a portfolio of enterprise and mid-market clients and play a key role in expanding their engagement across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to proposal development and contract negotiation
  • Develop and present tailored, value-led proposals that align with customer goals and marketing strategy
  • Proactively uncover and execute cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the install base
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities, navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Lead group expansion initiatives by identifying new divisions or entities connected to current clients and driving integration
  • Leverage your deep understanding of our solutions and digital marketing best practices to craft impactful recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with the CSM team to ensure customers’ commercial and strategic objectives are met
  • Engage senior decision-makers with clear, compelling value propositions that drive revenue growth and measurable results

Experience & Background

  • A track record of 3-6 years in SaaS/software account management sales
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with a strong ability to upsell and cross-sell
  • Experience in overlay sales and collaborative roles
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, CRM, or marketing automation platforms
  • Client management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong technological skills, including the ability to deliver the full product
  • Excellent time management skills, positive attitude, and a “love of selling”
  • Exposure to the Marketing Technology, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Marketing Automation Platforms/Omnichannel Marketing Platforms, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems, Email Marketing Software, Integrated E-commerce Platforms, or Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning etc. would be ideal
  • Capable of managing complex, multimillion-dollar accounts
  • Eligibility to work in the USA
  • Fluency in English

  • Highly organized with strong pipeline and stakeholder management skills
  • Polished, professional, and confident presenting to senior decision-makers
  • Comfortable with commercial targets and thrives in a consultative selling environment
  • Technically conversant on topics like data integration and APIs

Location & Travel Requirements

  • Must be based East of the Mississippi River (West Coast not considered)
  • Must live near a major airport for travel convenience
  • Up to 50% travel across the U.S. and Canada; otherwise remote
