Porter Pipe & Supply is launching its Columbus Region Distribution Center and seeks a General Manager to lead from day one. You will hire, develop, and align a team with Porter Pipe’s culture, service standards, and growth ambitions in Ohio.

This hands-on leadership role demands strong financial oversight, operational excellence, and the ability to partner with sales, branch leaders, and executives to deliver safe, reliable, and exceptional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7+ years in distribution/warehouse ops or related operational environment.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience with budgets, labor planning, cost controls, and P&L.
• Proven track record of developing leaders and building culture.
• Experience using KPIs to improve safety, productivity, inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and ongoing performance of the Columbus Region Distribution Center.
• Hire, develop, and unite a high-performing team around culture and service standards.
• Oversee warehouse operations, dispatch, counter sales, and branch functions.
• Drive safety, customer service, productivity, inventory accuracy, and profitability.
• Manage branch budget and P&L with data-driven decisions.
• Partner with sales to grow customer relationships and market presence.
• Plan for staffing, capacity, and growth as operations expand.
• Maintain accountability, teamwork, and Porter Pipe’s core values.
