Job summary

A family-owned collision repair facility is seeking an experienced Auto Body Estimator in Waconia, MN. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing insurance claims, performing repair planning, and ensuring quality repairs. This role requires a strong work ethic and effective communication skills. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of collision repair estimating or industry-related customer service experience.
• Experience with Progressive Insurance claims preferred.
• I-CAR certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and manage insurance claims.
• Perform repair planning and write accurate estimates.
• Communicate proactively with customers throughout the process.
• Collect, verify, and update all customer and vehicle information.
• Write accurate estimates using CCC One in compliance with insurance guidelines.
• Utilize the ROME management system (training provided if needed).
• Work closely with technicians, parts vendors, and insurance adjusters to ensure timely approvals.
• Submit and negotiate supplements effectively and promptly.
• Monitor repair progress to ensure cycle-time and quality standards are met.
• Clearly document the repair process using computerized notes.
• Communicate proactively with customers throughout the entire repair process.
• Educate customers on repairs and sell value-added services when appropriate.
• Experience working insurance claims; Progressive Insurance claims experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of DRP procedures and insurance estimating standards.
• Experience with the full repair planning / blueprinting process.
• Quality-focused, dependable, and team-oriented mindset.

Waconia 1 Collision & Auto, our family-owned and operated collision repair facility, is seeking an experienced Auto Body Estimator in the Waconia, MN area.
