Job summary

Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls, MN seeks an experienced Body Shop Estimator to serve as the primary contact for customers and insurers during repairs. You will write precise estimates, manage DRP relationships, and ensure a smooth repair experience from drop-off to delivery.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and proficient with CCC One or Audatex estimating software, with 2+ years of estimator experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of auto body estimator experience, preferably at a dealership or DRP shop.
• Proficiency with CCC One or Audatex estimating software required.
• Familiarity with DRP programs and insurance repair processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with thorough damage and repair documentation.
• I-CAR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Automotive dealership or OEM collision experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate collision repair estimates using CCC One.
• Greet customers, assess damage, and explain repair timeline.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and manage DRP relationships.
• Process supplements and obtain proper authorizations for additional work.
• Coordinate with production team to track repair progress and status.
• Review completed repairs to ensure estimates were fulfilled to standards.
• Maintain records of estimates, approvals, and communications.
• Monitor KPIs like cycle time, customer satisfaction, and gross profit.
• Stay updated on OEM repair procedures and parts pricing.

• Work with accounting staff to finalize closed ROs and WIP

• Proficiency with CCC One or Audatex estimating software required
• Familiarity with DRP programs and insurance repair processes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly document damage and repair requirements
