Job summary

Nelson Auto Center is seeking an experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our collision center team. You will serve as the primary contact for customers and insurance carriers, writing precise estimates and managing DRP relationships from drop-off to delivery.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and proficient with industry-standard estimating software such as CCC One or Audatex.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an auto body estimator, preferably at a dealership or DRP shop.
• Proficiency with CCC One or Audatex estimating software required.
• Familiarity with DRP programs and insurance repair processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly document damage and repair requirements.
• I-CAR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate and thorough collision repair estimates using CCC One.
• Greet customers, assess vehicle damage, and explain the repair process and timeline.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and manage DRP relationships.
• Process supplements and ensure proper authorization before additional work is performed.
• Coordinate with the production team to track repair progress and communicate status to customers.
• Review completed repairs to ensure estimates were fulfilled to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance adjusters and manage DRP relationships
• Process supplements and ensure proper authorization before additional work is performed
• Coordinate with the production team to track repair progress and communicate status to customers
• Review completed repairs to ensure estimates were fulfilled to quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, approvals, and communications
• Monitor KPIs including cycle time, customer satisfaction, and gross profit
• Stay current on OEM repair procedures, parts pricing, and industry trends
• Work with accounting staff to finalize closed ROs and WIP

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an auto body estimator, preferred at a dealership or DRP shop
• Proficiency with CCC One or Audatex estimating software required
• Familiarity with DRP programs and insurance repair processes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly document damage and repair requirements
• I-CAR certification or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Automotive dealership or OEM collision experience a plus
