Job summary

The SEED Foundation seeks a Part-Time College Success Advisor to support college transition and success efforts on the front line. This role involves direct student follow-up, advising appointments, FAFSA/state aid tasks, graduate outreach, and CoPilot documentation.

The position is 20 hours per week and based in the Washington, DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia area. Not remote; travel between SEED DC and SEED MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 1–3 years in student support/college access preferred.
• Understanding of FAFSA and state aid programs in DC and Maryland.
• Strong follow-through with consistent outreach and documentation.
• Experience with individual and group college success advising.
• Ability to travel regularly between SEED DC and SEED MD.

Responsibilities

• Support college transition and financial aid advising with SEED seniors and families.
• Maintain regular CTS team communications and follow-ups with SEED MD/DC staff.
• Assist CTS-led trainings, FAFSA workshops, advising days, and enrollment steps.
• Conduct follow-up with graduates on enrollment, aid, balances, and transfer questions.
• Visit local SEED graduates and coordinate with college counseling teams.
