IDEA Public Schools in Texas is hiring College Prep Teachers to ensure students master academics and social skills, and to embody IDEA's values daily. Teachers set ambitious goals for student achievement and track data to inform daily lesson plans, including opportunities for college-credit via dual-enrollment, AP, or IB.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification or equivalent classroom experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• K-12 classroom experience preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade level curriculum and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with formal/informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as assigned.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and campus meetings.
• Spend 40+ hours per week on site; support school culture and initiatives.
