Northeast Texas Community College is seeking a Student Services/Enrollment Advisor to engage with high schools and dual credit students, guiding enrollment, registrations, and financial aid processes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Some evening hours and weekend availability are expected, with regular travel between schools and NTCC campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum two years related experience working with high school or college students or young adults preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required; bilingual preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to maintain relationships with state agencies and local educational institutions.
• Working knowledge of student information systems and software applications essential.
• Available for regular evening hours and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with assigned high schools, students, parents, and school personnel.
• Provide guidance on college readiness, enrollment, and academic planning for dual credit and prospective students.
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions with students and families on goals and course selection.
• Manage dual credit enrollment, admissions applications, registration, and documentation for each student.
• Coordinate and deliver presentations, workshops, and outreach at high schools to promote college access.
• Assist with FAFSA and scholarship opportunities; support enrollment steps.
• Maintain regular communication with students to ensure enrollment progress and transition to NTCC.
• Collaborate with campus offices to resolve student issues and remove barriers to success.
