Job summary

Lone Star College-North Harris is seeking a Part-Time Advisor II, Dual Credit to support students with academic advising, degree planning, and enrollment guidance on a campus-based basis.

The role focuses on advising for degree requirements, course selection, and transfer readiness, with responsibilities including developing My Educational Plans and coordinating transfer events with colleges and universities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in higher education is preferred.
• Strong advising and student support skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on degree requirements and course selection.
• Assist with transferring to four-year institutions.
• Create and monitor My Educational Plan (MEP).
• Coordinate with College Relations and universities for transfer events.
• Track cohorts' progress on success, retention, and completion.
• Assist with resumes and cover letters.
• Participate in committees and campus events.
