Job summary

SAFCO in Pompano Beach, FL, is seeking a Collections Training Manager to develop and deliver training for debt-collections staff. You’ll lead new-hire training, coach nesters, and create materials, ensuring compliant practices and professional customer interactions.

This onsite role requires hands-on collections experience and proven ability to design instruction and assess performance. You’ll align training with collection goals and monitor progress to raise proficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on debt collections experience.
• Experience designing and delivering employee training.
• Ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Knowledge of compliant collection practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collections systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead new-hire training covering debt collections, negotiation techniques, customer communication, systems, account documentation, and compliance.
• Guide nesting program transitions with coaching, call monitoring, and readiness assessments.
• Teach collectors to understand customers’ circumstances, address objections, and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Develop training materials, job aids, role-playing exercises, and refresher courses.
• Review calls and accounts to identify skill gaps and provide feedback.
• Align training with collection goals, quality standards, and SAFCO procedures.
• Track employee progress and training results to improve proficiency.
