Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a collections department of a credit union or financial institution.
• Thorough knowledge of FDCPA, UDAAP, CFPB, TCPA, and collection best practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payments for late/delinquent status and follow up by phone or email.
• Contact delinquent members and develop plans to bring accounts to current status.
• Notify co-signers and liaise with attorneys/agencies for repossessions when needed.
• Maintain detailed data for repossessions, bankruptcies, charge-offs, and related records.
• Prepare information for collection agencies and post receipts.
