Job summary

Securityplus Federal Credit Union is seeking a Collections Specialist who will take proactive steps to resolve delinquent accounts while supporting members with professionalism and care. You’ll work on bankruptcy notices, court orders, and payment applications in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you’ll monitor legal collections, ensure compliance with laws, and collaborate with attorneys and agencies to protect the credit union’s interests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in financial services collections or related field.
• Familiarity with FDCPA and related compliance standards a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; accurate data handling.
• Clear, professional communication with members and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage bankruptcy notices and court orders; prepare reaffirmation agreements.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws governing accounts.
• Review credit disputes; maintain accurate reporting to bureaus.
• Collaborate with attorneys and agencies to resolve delinquencies.
• Maintain tracking systems and Excel spreadsheets for workflow visibility.
