Job summary

OnPoint Community Credit Union seeks a Collections Specialist to manage consumer loans, PLOCs and credit card delinquencies. You will support the Collections team, document member interactions, and coordinate with branches and outside agencies to resolve past-due accounts.

Role requires strong communication, disciplined documentation, and the ability to work under deadlines while maintaining member service standards and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of successful work experience in a financial institution.
• Knowledge of FDCPA guidelines strongly desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and apply sound collection techniques to reduce delinquencies and negative account balances.
• Maintain accurate records of collection efforts by documenting actions in the collection systems.
• Takes appropriate action as primary point of contact with members and outside agencies.
• Exercises good judgment, initiative and tact during communication with members, outside agencies and other internal employees.
