Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to actively manage collections and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the collection cycle. You will drive timely resolution of outstanding invoices while keeping customers satisfied.

You will track aging, perform daily collection calls, generate reports in Qlik and Spectrum, and collaborate with billing and project management to resolve discrepancies and accelerate payments.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with a major ERP package.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proven negotiation skills in resolving customer/invoice/billing issues.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage collection of all outstanding invoices and maintain customer relationships throughout the collection cycle.
• Track and resolve payment issues and generate aging reports using Qlik and Spectrum.
• Make daily collection calls and update notes on invoices.
• Provide customer service regarding collections and process account adjustments.
• Collaborate with Cash App, billing, and other collection specialists to resolve issues.
• Monitor assigned accounts, perform reconciliations, and process approved credit memos.
• Reduce delinquency and involve sales/project management to accelerate collections.
• Communicate with AR Manager daily/weekly/monthly about account status.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and statements for internal/external use.
• Respond to inquiries and provide copies of statements and invoices as needed.
• Assist with final demand letters and collection-related documentation.
• Research and reconcile accounts and create external spreadsheets as needed.
