Job summary

C&F Finance Company is seeking an Account Manager to contact customers about past due payments, arrange payments, correct information, and provide payoff quotes. You will work within the loan servicing framework and ensure compliance with applicable laws in all states.

The role requires good communication, documentation, and the ability to follow up on promises to pay while maintaining professional service standards.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service or collections experience in banking, auto collections and special finance is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Typing skills and computer proficiency are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone, e-mail, text, chat and letter regarding payment and insurance on accounts.
• Understand and apply C&F Finance Company’s loan servicing philosophy as reflected in the Collections Manual.
• Demonstrate knowledge of applicable collection laws and regulations (FDCPA, TCPA, CFPB) in all states.
• Call customers on past due accounts and secure payment pledges to keep accounts current.
• Document all conversations in the system of record and follow up on promises to pay.
