Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year related experience, and must complete FDCPA training to obtain certification. This is an in-office role with attention to policy compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ year related experience or equivalent.
• Must complete FDCPA course and pass FDCPA test for certification.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; effective telephone presentation.
• Basic math skills and ability to explain interest calculations.

Responsibilities

• Complies with FDCPA and company policies; handles inbound and outbound calls to determine delinquency and negotiates payment plans.
• Requests and sends form letters for account ownership transfers and payment plans as needed.
• Records account activity and communications in the financial tracking system.
• Coordinates collateral processes and skip trace review for repossession when needed.
