Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Collateral Servicing Specialist to support RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC in Fort Mill, SC. You will review borrower requests related to partial lien releases, easements, CEMAs, and Co-Ops, and coordinate with document custodians to obtain collateral files.

The role emphasizes attention to legal descriptions, timely processing, and aligning with federal and state guidelines.

Qualifications

2+ years of mortgage servicing experience, required.
Knowledge of legal descriptions, surveys, and property related proposed agreements, required.
Experience with partial lien releases, easements, and other types of property modification requests, subordinations, CEMAs, and Co-Ops, preferred.

Responsibilities

Review incoming borrower requests for partial lien releases, easements, additions of land, eminent domain cases, boundary line adjustments, and subdivisions.
Work with RoundPoint’s preferred firm to examine CEMA and Co-Op collateral documents to close CEMA and Co-Op transactions.
Assist external clients with second-lien subordinations.
Maintain relationships with document custodians to request and monitor timely release of collateral documentation.
Research locations of collateral files for bulk transactions from other departments.
Prepare assignments of mortgage and allonges.
Educate and stay up to date on federal, state, agency and client guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Identify enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
Identify potential issues and participate in solutions; develop new policies and procedures.
Assist with additional projects or tasks as needed.
