Job summary

RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC is seeking a Collateral Servicing Specialist in Fort Mill, SC to review borrower requests for partial lien releases, easements, and other property modifications, and to maintain strong relations with document custodians.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage servicing experience.
• Knowledge of legal descriptions, surveys, and property related proposed agreements.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and additional Microsoft products.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills to identify issues and concerns, and participate in the solutions.
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming borrower requests for partial lien releases, easements, additions of land, eminent domain cases, boundary line adjustments, and subdivisions.
• Work directly with RoundPoint’s preferred firm to examine CEMA and Co-Op collateral documents to close CEMA and Co-Op transactions.
• Assist external clients with second-lien subordinations.
• Maintain a working relationship with document custodians to request and monitor the timely release of original collateral documentation for various reasons.
• Research the locations of collateral files for bulk transactions from other departments, such as service transfers or records management.
• Prepare assignments of mortgage and allonges.
• Educate and stay up to date on federal, state, agency and client guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Identify enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
• Identify potential issues or concerns and participate in a solution, including recommending and developing new policies and procedures.
• Assist with additional projects or tasks as needed.
