Job summary

RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC seeks a Collateral Servicing Specialist in Fort Mill, SC to research and review borrower requests related to lien releases, easements, and other property modifications. You will maintain relationships with document custodians to request collateral files for various reasons and collaborate with external partners to close CEMA and Co-Op transactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage servicing experience.
• Knowledge of legal descriptions, surveys, and property related proposed agreements.
• Intermediate computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a team.
• Experience with partial lien releases, easements, and other types of property modification requests, subordinations, CEMAs, and Co-Ops.
• Experience using MSP mortgage servicing platform.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming borrower requests for partial lien releases, easements, additions of land, eminent domain cases, boundary line adjustments, and subdivisions.
• Work directly with RoundPoint’s preferred firm to examine CEMA and Co-Op collateral documents to close CEMA and Co-Op transactions.
• Assist external clients with second-lien subordinations.
• Maintain a working relationship with document custodians to request and monitor the timely release of original collateral documentation for various reasons.
• Research the locations of collateral files for bulk transactions from other departments, such as service transfers or records management.
• Prepare assignments of mortgage and allonges.
• Educate and stay up to date on federal, state, agency and client guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Identify enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
• Identify potential issues or concerns and participate in a solution, including recommending and developing new policies and procedures.
• Assist with additional projects or tasks as needed.
