Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Cooler Guard to oversee product inspection, inventory accuracy, and orderly cooler operations. The role requires working in cold, damp environments and performing frequent counts with attention to rotation and safety.

You will collaborate with supervisors to ensure accurate recording and efficient product movement on site. This full-time, on-site position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced meat processing facility.

Qualifications

• Experience working in cold and wet environments.
• Basic inventory knowledge, counts vs. system records.
• Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors and colleagues.
• Experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, food or poultry processing, or inventory roles.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% inspection of product entering and exiting coolers and record activity accurately.
• Operate a power jack to maintain cooler organization and support product movement.
• Perform hourly inventory checks and compare counts against the PI system for accuracy.
• Place SKUs in correct locations, ensuring oldest dates are in front for proper rotation.
• Communicate cooler activity and inventory status to supervisors and teammates.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other duties as needed.
