Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Cooler Guard for our Acorn Facility to ensure 100% inspection, recording, and accuracy of product movement in cold environments.

You will operate equipment, perform hourly inventory checks against the PI system, rotate stock by oldest date first, and maintain a clean work area. This full-time, on-site role requires weekend availability and adherence to food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in cold and wet environments.
  • Basic inventory knowledge and ability to compare counts.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors and associates.
  • Prior warehouse, shipping, receiving, production, or inventory experience.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; pass post-offer drug/alcohol checks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a power jack safely to maintain cooler organization.
  • Perform inventory hourly and compare counts to the PI system.
  • Place SKUs with oldest dates in front for correct rotation.

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

This role is responsible for ensuring 100% inspection, verification, and accurate recording of all products entering and exiting the coolers. The position supports cooler organization, inventory accuracy, product rotation, and operational readiness by maintaining proper SKU placement, comparing physical inventory to the PI system, and following food safety, quality, and housekeeping expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure 100% inspection of product entering and exiting the coolers and record all activity with proper verification.
  • Operate a power jack safely to maintain cooler organization and support product movement.
  • Perform inventory once per hour and compare physical counts against the PI system to ensure accuracy.
  • Place SKUs in proper locations, ensuring the oldest dates are positioned in front of newer dates to support correct product rotation.
  • Communicate verbally with supervisors and associates regarding cooler activity, inventory accuracy, and product movement.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work in cold and wet environments.
  • Basic inventory knowledge, including the ability to compare physical inventory counts against system records.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors and associates.
  • Prior warehouse, shipping, receiving, production, food processing, poultry processing, or inventory experience.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • New team members must be able to pass a drug and alcohol post-offer and prior to the start of their employment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

Work is performed in a damp and extremely cold cooler environment. The role requires bending, standing, pushing, pulling, and twisting on occasion. Team members must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. This position requires working weekends and overtime as needed. Travel is not expected for this role.
