Job summary

United States Cold Storage Inc in Turlock, CA is seeking a full-time, non-exempt forklift operator to support warehouse operations. You will handle pallets, assist with loading and unloading, and ensure safe, efficient product movement in a cold storage environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally.
• Work in temperatures from +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise.
• Stand and walk for extended periods and follow safety rules.
• Effective communication and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of facility operations through proper product handling, organization, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
• Tape or stretch-wrap pallets as required to ensure product stability.
• Ensure proper stock rotation by following lot number identification.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service and/or company standards.
• Pallet height can reach up to seven feet.
• Move product from staging or storage areas into railcars or trailers.
• Perform janitorial duties including sweeping and cleaning.
• Complete project work such as labeling, slip sheeting, removing and adding spacers, repacking, and stacking cases.
• Operate equipment including double jacks, floor scrubbers, and powered carts.
• Operate autonomous forklifts safely in manual and autonomous modes.
• Forklift operation only as needed.
• Unloading/loading trailers, stacking product, reporting damaged product, and preparing product for shipment.
• Ensure product is received and shipped correctly referencing locations, lot numbers, and picking locations.
