Job summary

Hy-Vee in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Coffee Lead to support the Department Manager and lead the Baristas in the Coffee Shop. You will ensure every beverage is fresh and served with a warm, personal touch.

Off the bar, you’ll monitor product quality, maintain a clean workspace, manage inventory and assist with ordering while delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; food safety courses encouraged.
• One year of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and aiding with questions.
• Take orders at the counter and over the phone; assist with product selection.
• Ensure food safety and a clean, neat work area to department standards.
• Monitor product freshness; replenish and prepare products as needed.
• Lead Coffee Shop Baristas; coordinate tasks and production lists.
• Operate the department register and process payments where applicable.
