Job summary

Trinity Health Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a Compliance Auditor/Educator to serve as a subject matter expert for CPT, ICD and HCC coding, providing education across IHA offices.

The role leads audit projects, reviews medical records for integrity, develops corrective actions, and trains providers and staff to ensure compliance with federal and payer requirements. Travel to offices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Certified Professional Coder or RHIT preferred.
• 2+ years of coding, reimbursement analysis and medical record auditing.

Responsibilities

• Leads audits for medical record integrity and related issues.
• Reports audit results using standard processes.
• Analyzes medical decision-making and documentation accuracy.
• Develops corrective action plans and educational materials.
• Educates Providers on CPT, ICD, and HCC coding principles.
• Collaborates with Compliance team and authorities to maintain standards.
• Travels to offices to educate staff and providers.
