Job summary

Gonzaba Medical Group seeks a Coding Educator to develop, manage, and oversee a comprehensive coding program across the organization. You will serve as the liaison for clinicians, ensuring compliance with CPT-4, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes, and provide education to improve documentation and coding accuracy.

The role requires certification (AAPC/AHIMA) and several years of coding and education experience, with travel to support patient care at other GMG locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Certified coder through AAPC or AHIMA; COC or CPMA required.

Responsibilities

• Perform consultative services to physicians and staff on complex coding issues.
• Conduct quarterly/annual reviews of clinicians to identify areas for improvement in documentation and coding.
• Develop training programs for physicians and staff on coding rules and guidelines.
