Job summary

DeKalb County is seeking a Training Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate training programs and curricula focused on knowledge areas across departmental programs and systems. You will help employees improve skills and align learning with organizational needs.

Responsibilities include analyzing needs with management, creating curricula, selecting teaching methods, delivering training sessions, and tracking outcomes to measure ROI and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public/Business Administration, Education or related field.
• At least two years of training/teaching experience; or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Technical Training Certification or CPLP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and assesses business training needs for current employees and new hires.
• Confers with management to understand changes in policies, regulations, and initiatives.
• Forms curricula/outlines and selects teaching methods and aids.

Education
